Say No To Plastic
After a great deal of discussion amongst ourselves, we have decided that we seriously needed to do something about the global plastic problem.
We, the Eco Warriors, have decided that we need to make our school a
PLASTIC BAG FREE ZONE.
First we talked to our Headteacher, Mr. Gill, and made our proposal. He
was very happy with our intentions and fully supported our campaign.
We then shared our idea with the School Governors,
who were also very happy to support us.
We then shared our idea with the whole school during assembly.
We made posters to go around the community so everyone
can support and contribute to this campaign.
We also made a display about the problems we face as a result of plastic pollution.
We hope this will change people's attitude about plastic bags and make our school a
PLASTIC BAG FREE ZONE.

Community Clean Up February 2018
After a small break, the Hornbill Community Clean Up team is back in action. With the regimental change over, we had to take a short break to let the community settle down. With the onset of the new year, we have restarted the monthly community clean up campaign. A huge thank you to everyone who helped out. We had the largest turn up of volunteers so for. We do hope this number continues to grow as everyone becomes more aware of the global environmental issues.

Sharing good practice with our neighbours
Panaga School, our neighbour, wanted to start their own eco garden after learning about our gardening success. They decided to visit us to see what and how we were growing, before embarking on their own gardening experience. The Eco Warriors happily showed them around various gardens in school and explained what we have been doing in our garden. Children from both the schools enjoyed this experience and had a great time.
